Hi, this is DJ Jay Roberts and welcome to my site.

After over 16 years of DJ'ing, over ten of them on and off in I.T. and my thumb getting worn down with replying to text messages about what's going on and where I am, I decided it was time for an official website.

Over the last couple of years i've been taking a bit of time out from the major touring I used to do in the good old days and have found myself refining my different styles, travelling, listening and learning, producing new mixes, setting up my studio and even designing and helping build the bar i've been involved with for the last 3 years.

For those of you who don't know me so well, I play Funky & Disco House, R&B, Trance, Breaks and Hip-Hop and occaisionally dipping into the realms of pop.

While over my entire career, i've played venues up and down the UK and the US and Europe, since 1995, i've been heavily involved with the nightlife of Darwen near Blackburn in Lancashire and have played many a happy night to packed houses at The Roxy (formerly Privilege), Bar Java, The New Gardeners, Marleys Wine Bar, The Circus Pub, The Pub (formerly The Greenway) and many others in surrounding areas. I am pleased to announce that 2006 is looking set to be a great year, thanks to working in conjunction with a brand new PR and management team.

Check the news section regularly for what's going on with the site and important event announcements, appearances.  The mixes section contains some of my live sets, album compilations and studio production work from the last decade including the famous "Uplifting" and "In Da House" series converted from tapes by overwhelming demand.
