Studio Revamp
Coming soon to a webpage near you
As I mentioned a few weeks ago on the intro page, i've been working on rebuilding the studio to make it operational for production work again. I'll be creating a section specifically for it very shortly. After months of "evaluating" different software packages, i've bitten the bullet and have to agree that Ableton Live 5 is definitely the choice for me. I'm not going to shill for Ableton here as they don't do an affiliate programme but I will say that for loop, stab and MIDI based integrated production it works damn well.
I did a couple of impromptu live sessions with it just before leaving The Circus and couldn't believe how it lends itself to real-time recording, looping, remixing and drop-ins. It's like having an unlimited number of effects units and CD players / turntables to hand.
A full version is on it's way to me as you read and i'll be up and running again in a few days, it'll be nice to get down some of the ideas i've been playing with for the last few weeks and naturally i'll make the tracks available for download when they're done.
